Responsible for managing reporting APPs and APP supervisors, including activities related to patient care, service line development, quality improvement, strategic planning, and policy enforcement. Ensures APP clinical work adheres to scope and hospital policies. Assesses staffing effectiveness, mentors staff, and oversees administrative duties such as hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and compliance with review services.
The position is typically split 50% administrative and 50% clinical, based on expertise and organizational needs. It is a 40-hour role, may include off-shifts, weekends, and holidays, and provides leadership within specific specialties with potential for expansion.
Supervision Received: Dual reporting to the APP Director and physician leader.
Supervision Exercised: Administrative oversight of APPs.
