Job summary

Overview

Bronson Neuroscience Center seeks a team‑focused, goal‑oriented Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to deliver adult neurology patient care. The role includes support in outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and consults. The position is full‑time, Monday – Friday, at the Kalamazoo Methodist Hospital with focus on general neurology and opportunities to develop subspecialty practice in stroke, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, and headache. No call or weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care for adult neurology patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Participate in clinic appointments, inpatient rounds, and consults at the Kalamazoo Methodist Hospital.
• Collaborate with neurologists and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, facilitate transitions, and contribute to quality improvement.
• Occasionally support satellite locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA/NP program with an unrestricted Michigan license.
• Minimum 1–2 years of APP experience preferred (neurology, inpatient, critical care, ED, or internal/family medicine). Experience in neurology is highly desired.
• Strong clinical decision‑making ability with independence in patient care.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and team members; proficient with EPIC EMR.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Physician Assistant: DEA license and prescriptive authority with collaborative agreement in place. (For NP: standard NP licensure and prescriptive authority per Michigan regulations.)
• Maintain all medical‑staff privilege requirements.
