Job summary

FirstHealth is seeking experienced PAs and NPs for PRN urgent care coverage across our Fayetteville/Sanford and Hamlet/Raeford regions in North Carolina. You will join a flexible scheduling model with weekday and weekend shifts in a defined service area.

Clinics operate 8A-8P with holidays closed; on-site imaging and diagnostic testing are available. A well‑coordinated transfer process with system EDs supports acute care needs, with a minimum commitment of 2 shifts per month.

Qualifications

• PA must be graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification.
• NP must be graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and national certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine; 4+ years preferred.
• Active NC PA/NP license, NC DEA, AHA BLS certification, and DOT certification required.

• Candidates may choose their preferred region or provide cross‑regional support.
• Clinics operate 8A-8P. Closed four recognized holidays.
• Full range of services, imaging and diagnostic testing available on‑site.
• Well‑coordinated process with system EDs for transfer of acute care needs.
• A minimum commitment of 2 shifts per month is required.

Qualifications

• PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
• NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
• minimum of 3 years of experience treating all ages in an Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine setting is required, 4+ years of experience is highly desired.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision‑making.
• Clean background, unrestricted NC PA/NP license, NC DEA, AHA BLS certification, and DOT certification required.
