Job summary

FirstHealth is seeking experienced PAs and NPs for PRN urgent care coverage in North Carolina. You will join a flexible regional program with weekend and weekday shifts across two service regions: Fayetteville/Sanford and Hamlet/Raeford.

Clinics operate 8A–8P with a minimum commitment of 2 shifts per month; extensive on-site imaging and diagnostic testing are available, and a coordinated process with regional EDs supports transfer of acute care needs. Apply via [e-mail].

Qualifications

• PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification.
• NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and national certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine; 4+ years preferred.
• Unrestricted NC PA/NP license, NC DEA, AHA BLS, and DOT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care/ER coverage across flexible shifts; adhere to regional program guidelines.
• Coordinate with regional clinics and EDs for transfer of acute care needs.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and compliance for PRN work.

Qualifications

• minimum of 3 years of experience treating all ages in an Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine setting is required, 4+ years of experience is highly desired.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision‑making.
• Clean background, unrestricted NC PA/NP license, NC DEA, AHA BLS certification, and DOT certification required.
