FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Central North Carolina seeks a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our new Whispering Pines outpatient location. The role emphasizes 100% outpatient care with new patient and follow-up visits, and close collaboration with the cardiology team.

You will document in Epic EMR, participate in a Monday–Friday schedule, and help establish the Whispering Pines site while enjoying a supportive, mission-driven culture and community amenities.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with national certification.
• PA applicants must be NCCPA-certified and licensed to practice.
• Minimum 2+ years of advanced cardiology practice preferred.
• Clean background, NC licensure, DEA registration, and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform new patient and follow-up visits for cardiovascular conditions.
• Provide ongoing management and patient education in collaboration with the cardiology team.
• Complete timely documentation in Epic EMR and coordinate care across the practice.

• 100% outpatient cardiology practice with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• NP must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner education program and hold national certification.
• PA must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold NCCPA certification.
• Two or more years of advanced practice experience in cardiology preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and discretion in clinical decision-making.
• Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.
• Clean background, North Carolina licensure, DEA registration, and AHA BLS certification required. ACLS preferred.
