Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. seeks an Assistant Project Manager for heavy civil highway and utility projects across Virginia. Based in the Fredericksburg area, relocation to Virginia projects is available.

You will work with a senior PM on roadway, highway and utility work, many with VDOT, and grow toward running your own projects. Ideal candidates have 3+ years on heavy civil projects (DOT experience preferred), a civil engineering or construction management background, and familiarity with

• 3+ years on heavy civil, highway or utility projects as a Field Engineer, Project Engineer or APM.
• VDOT or other DOT project experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of scheduling and cost tracking.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.
• HeavyJob, Bluebeam or P6 experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Based in Virginia or ready to relocate, relocation assistance available.

Responsabilidades

• Drive submittals, RFIs and procurement so field crews stay ahead of the work.
• Coordinate subcontractors and supplier purchase orders.
• Track quantities, production and cost against budget.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and cost projections.
• Support schedule updates and change management.
• Work with VDOT inspectors and owner representatives.
• Keep project documentation clean and current.
• Take part in weekly schedule and cost reviews with the project team.
• Support a strong jobsite safety culture.
