Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a large multiyear heavy civil highway program in Lakeland, FL. This onsite role supports the project manager with planning, subcontracts, and contract administration to keep costs and schedules on track.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years on heavy civil highway/bridge projects, a four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Construction Science, and proficiency with submittals, RFIs, and cost tracking.

Qualifications

• 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer or APM.
• Four year degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Civil Engineering.
• Solid with submittals, RFIs, quantities and pay estimates.
• FDOT or Turnpike experience is a plus.
• Clear writer and communicator under schedule pressure.

Responsabilités

• Support the project manager on cost, schedule and resource planning.
• Administer subcontracts and purchase orders, and coordinate subs and suppliers.
• Manage submittals, RFIs and change order paperwork with the owner.
• Track quantities, pay items and monthly pay estimates.
• Coordinate crews, material and equipment with the superintendents.
• Keep permits, licenses and project documentation current.
• Help update the schedule and the cost forecast.
• Back the field on safety and quality.
• Report progress to the project manager and the owner.
