Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a large multiyear heavy civil highway program in Lakeland, FL. You will support the project manager on cost, schedule and resource planning, administer subcontracts, and coordinate submittals, RFIs and change orders with the owner.

This is a full-time onsite role with a clear path to Project Manager. Candidates should have 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects and a four-year degree in CM/CS/CE, with FDOT experience a

Qualifications

• 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects.
• Four year degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Civil Engineering.
• Solid with submittals, RFIs, quantities and pay estimates.
• FDOT or Turnpike experience is a plus.
• Clear writer and communicator under schedule pressure.
• Primavera P6, HCSS or Bluebeam experience is a plus.
• Based in Central Florida or ready to relocate to the Lakeland area.

Responsibilities

• Support the project manager on cost, schedule and resource planning.

• Track quantities, pay items and monthly pay estimates.

Location: Lakeland / Polk County, FL area (full time onsite)

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a large multiyear highway program in the Lakeland and Polk County area. This is a strong next step for a Project Engineer ready to move up, or an APM who wants a big job with a long runway and a stable employer. You'll work alongside the project manager on planning, subcontracts and contract administration so the job stays on budget and on schedule, much of it state highway work. Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.

What You'll Be Responsible For
