Job summary

Programmers in Dallas/Jersey City/Tampa onsite is seeking a senior API Platform Architect to own the Apigee Edge-to-Hybrid migration from architecture to stabilization. You will lead cross-functional teams across OCP, GCP, Network, Security, IAM, and DevOps, delivering a secure, scalable API platform with OAuth 2.0, JWT and enterprise identity integration.

The candidate must have deep Apigee expertise, 10+ years of experience, and a proven track record in large-scale migrations.

• Deep knowledge of Apigee Edge and Apigee Hybrid architectures.
• Strong leadership for cross-team delivery and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the Apigee Edge-to-Hybrid migration program end-to-end, from architecture and planning through implementation, go-live, and stabilization.
• Act as the single point of contact and technical leader for the customer, with complete accountability for project delivery and outcomes.
• Provide architectural expertise in Apigee Edge, Apigee Hybrid, Kubernetes and Google Cloud (GCP).
• Define and drive migration prerequisites, architecture decisions, dependencies, readiness criteria, cutover and validation activities.
• Lead and coordinate teams across OCP, GCP, Network, Security, IAM, DevOps and Observability.
• Design a secure, scalable API platform covering OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/mTLS and identity integration.
• Drive technical decisions, identify risks and own resolution.
• Oversee API proxies, shared flows, CI/CD, Terraform/Helm, automation and monitoring.
• Lead architecture workshops and technical governance for migration readiness.
• Show technical leadership and accountability for successful Apigee Hybrid delivery.

Role Descriptions: Role -

• Lead and coordinate customer and internal teams across OCP, GCP, Network, Security, Akamai/WAF, IAM, DevOps, Infrastructure and Observability.
• Design a secure, scalable, resilient and highly available API platform, covering OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/mTLS and enterprise identity integration.
• Drive technical decisions, proactively identify risks/blockers and own them through resolution, rather than functioning only as a coordinator.
• Provide architectural oversight for API proxies, shared flows, CI/CD, Terraform/Helm, automation, monitoring and performance optimization.
• Lead customer architecture workshops, migration-readiness reviews and technical governance, translating complex issues into clear decisions and actions.
• Demonstrate strong technical leadership, customer/stakeholder management and ownership mindset, taking full accountability for successful delivery of the Apigee Hybrid platform.
