Eliassen Group is looking for a hands-on API Spring Developer to build backend services and REST APIs in a hybrid model based in Maryland Heights, MO. You will work with Spring and Java to enable AI agents to interact with enterprise systems and deliver secure, reliable backend capabilities.

Responsibilities include implementing integrations, applying platform standards, participating in code reviews, collaborating with the team on CI/CD, writing unit tests, and mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Spring and Spring Boot development experience.
• Strong Java background with OO programming expertise.
• Experience building REST APIs and backend integrations.
• Experience in an enterprise development environment.
• Proficiency with unit testing, Git, and Maven.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern development practices.
• Nice to have: Agentic AI or Generative AI exposure, microservices, MongoDB, enterprise integrations.

Our client is hiring API Spring Developers to build backend services and integrations that enable AI agents to interact with enterprise systems for a high-priority Agentic AI initiative. The role centers on hands-on Spring and Java development to deliver secure, reliable REST APIs and backend capabilities that support personalized, context-aware customer interactions.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2
