Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks an Automation QA Lead to define, build, and advance the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform. You will lead quality engineering, design scalable automation, and integrate testing into Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability and performance of enterprise API services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of software quality assurance, automation engineering, or quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent.
• Experience developing automation using Java, JavaScript, Python, or C# or similar languages.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the test automation vision and roadmap for the API Gateway platform.
• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for API, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Establish QA standards, testing best practices, and automation governance across the platform.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, product, and platform teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Define quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and test harnesses for enterprise API services.
• Build automated API validation suites covering functionality, security, performance, resiliency, and compliance requirements.
• Lead testing efforts for API Gateway platform enhancements, upgrades, and new capabilities.
• Create automation solutions that reduce manual testing and increase release confidence.
