Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Product Owner for the API Platform to define vision, roadmap, and backlog for API Management, Developer Portal, and governance capabilities.

The role partners with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering to deliver scalable API solutions that support enterprise digital transformation. This position reports to the Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ office location or a hybrid basis, requiring strong prioritization and data-driven decision making to drive

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst or related leadership role.
• Experience managing technology platforms, digital products, or enterprise integration solutions.
• Experience with developer portals and developer experience initiatives.
• Strong understanding of API lifecycle management and API security principles.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for SHI’s API Platform, APIM, Developer Portal, and governance capabilities.
• Partner with stakeholders, architects, and engineering to translate business needs into prioritized features and user stories.
• Define and prioritize investments to improve API adoption, developer experience, and platform scalability.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, and release prioritization.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for API adoption, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate alignment across business, engineering, security, and operations to enable successful roadmap delivery.
• Communicate roadmap progress, value, risks, and priorities to leadership.
