Job summary

enGen seeks a hands-on IT Manager to lead and support enterprise API Gateway infrastructure. This role demands strong technical experience with API Gateway platforms, infrastructure operations, cloud, Kubernetes, security, automation, and observability.

You will oversee platform reliability, API security, incident response, and cross-team collaboration in hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS, 5+ years in leadership, and 3+ years of presenting to diverse

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, MIS, CS or related discipline.
5 years in a leadership/mentoring role.
3 years of developing, communicating and presenting concepts to varying audiences.
Experience with API Gateway or API management platforms.
Certifications in API platforms, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS/Azure are a plus.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization by managing customer and expectations, planning and meetings, and representing Highmark with outside entities.
Collaborate with departments to prepare written procedures, policies, reports, and correspondence.
Identify customer requirements, assess impacts, compare costs and benefits, and recommend solutions.
Identify issues and recommend solutions and present concepts to clients, tailoring presentations to diverse audiences.
Lead efforts to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of results in the assigned unit/area.
Oversee departmental management planning, budgeting, and compliance with standards.
