Job summary

UFCU is seeking a Manager, API Platform Engineering to lead a technical team delivering UFCU’s enterprise API services, integrations, and microservices. The role blends people management with architecture accountability, including reviews, governance, and 24/7 reliability.

Your team builds API/Integration on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Enterprise Microservices on Kubernetes/Azure, with on-site work 2–3 days per week at UFCU Plaza. Hybrid work and contractor scaling are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading engineering teams
• Experience delivering enterprise APIs and microservices
• Proven architecture reviews and governance experience
• Ability to work hybrid with 2–3 days on-site in Austin, TX
• Familiarity with financial services or regulated environments

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team delivering enterprise APIs and microservices
• Provide hands-on technical leadership including architecture reviews and sign-off
• Establish reference architectures and engineering standards
• Own API platform roadmap and governance (OpenAPI, versioning, deprecation)
• Guide MuleSoft Anypoint Platform delivery, orchestration, and runtime monitoring
• Lead enterprise microservices engineering using C#/.NET, Kubernetes, and Azure
• Embed security/compliance into engineering practices and ensure production reliability
