Job summary

East Daley Analytics is seeking a software engineer to own and evolve a versioned API that powers our analytics portal and client tooling. You will design resource endpoints, ensure fast queries, and support a front-end that consumes live data through a robust API.

You will collaborate with the Data Team to optimize SQL foundations and maintain a stable contract across language boundaries. This role emphasizes end-to-end ownership and production-grade deployment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Designed and operated an API consumed by other teams.
• Maintained a schema across language boundaries with additive evolution.
• Golden-file and snapshot testing over generated output.
• Daily AI-assisted development to increase production velocity and QA/QC abilities.
• End-to-end ownership; ship and iterate on ambiguous requests.
• Bachelor's in CS or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and version a public API for internal and client use.
• Support front-end dashboards by providing complete API access.
• Run production services with caching, authentication, rate limiting, and observability.
• Collaborate with Data Team on SQL foundations and data pipelines.
• Ensure the data-to-HTML schema is enforced across the stack.
