Job summary

TechDigital Group in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Technical Product Owner with a telecom API focus to translate business needs into technical requirements and manage backlogs. You will own API-based features end-to-end, drive Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, and ensure data mapping integrity across systems.

Collaborating with architects, developers, and QA, you will orchestrate cross-functional work in an agile environment, shaping data-driven customer experiences and scalable integrations with Swagger

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical Business Analyst in a technology-driven organization.
• Experience in Telecommunication or major telecom companies preferred.
• Solid understanding of API design, RESTful services, and Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Proven experience with data mapping, data integration, and backend service coordination.
• Ability to write clear, concise user stories and technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills to translate between business and technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Postman, SwaggerHub, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to define product requirements and technical specifications.
• Own the product lifecycle for API-based features and backend services, from ideation to release.
• Lead API specification and documentation efforts using Swagger/OpenAPI standards.
• Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mappings to drive development.
• Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, and QA engineers to ensure successful implementation of features.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across systems via robust data mapping and transformation logic.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives with agile teams.
• Prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Work with integration teams to ensure seamless cross-platform communication and service orchestration.
