Job summary

Dave & Buster's is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to work with software engineers, QA, product owners, and architects to convert requirements into API-driven stories. You will translate needs into technical specifications, validate requirements, and ensure RESTful APIs meet security and scalability standards.

Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, documenting workflows, and defining test cases with QA to ensure APIs satisfy functional and non-functional requirements.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical or business discipline.
• 3+ years as a Business Analyst, incl. 2+ years on API development or integration projects.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements for API-driven solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for API design, development, and integration.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
• Work closely with developers to create API specifications, including endpoints, payloads, authentication, and error handling.
• Ensure that APIs adhere to RESTful principles, scalability, and security standards.
• Define and document API workflows, data mapping, and user stories.
• Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases and ensure APIs meet functional and non-functional requirements.
