Job summary

Ascendion seeks an API Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable REST APIs and backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot. You will craft cloud-native microservices with Spring Cloud and deploy in AWS ECS/EKS, leveraging Terraform IaC.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing software, contribute to CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Spinnaker, and drive observability with Splunk and Dynatrace.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming experience with Java 21 (or modern Java versions).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Experience building microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Spring Cloud components and cloud-native application design.
• Experience working with Cassandra and/or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience deploying containerized applications using ECS and/or EKS.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Spinnaker.
• Experience with application monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.

Salary Range:The salary for this position is between $110K-$120K USD annually. Pay within this range may vary based on geography, experience, skills, and applicable qualifications.
