Job summary

Apave America is seeking experienced API 510/570 inspectors for a temporary three-week project at a client site in Houston, Texas. The Inspector will conduct visual examinations of pressure-retaining equipment, including pressure vessels, tanks, and piping systems, to assess mechanical integrity and compliance with industry standards.

The role involves internal and external inspections per API 510/570, reporting findings, supervising NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT), and coordinating with engineers

Qualifications

• Current API 510 and API 570 certifications are required.
• NDT methods experience (MT/PT/UT) is an asset.
• Experience inspecting pressure vessels and piping is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pipelines, pressure vessels, tanks, and other critical infrastructure for damage.
• Perform internal and external inspections per API 510/API 570 standards.
• Verify compliance with API, ASME, ASTM, NFPA, OSHA requirements.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings and recommendations.
• Supervise NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT) and interpret results.
• Maintain inspection records and support audits.
• Coordinate with engineers and vendors on inspection schedules.
