Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated is seeking an Apheresis Technician to screen and collect blood products from donors using automated systems. You will ensure donor safety, perform post-phlebotomy care, and maintain detailed records in a FDA and AABB compliant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apheresis, plasma collection, or dialysis experience preferred or 3+ years in a related clinical setting.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Screens prospective donors through medical history and testing results.
• Performs venipuncture and sets up automated collection system.
• Maintains donor records and completes required forms and logs.
• Provides post-phlebotomy care and donor reactions documentation.
• Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and tagged per SOP.
