Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH, is seeking an experienced Apheresis Nurse to provide therapeutic apheresis procedures and patient care. Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Ohio required.
• Certification in apheresis nursing or willingness to obtain.
• PALS preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; apheresis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform apheresis procedures such as therapeutic plasma exchange and stem cell collection.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and respond to changes.
• Operate and maintain apheresis equipment and ensure safety.
• Collaborate with medical and lab teams to coordinate care.
• Document assessments and procedure details in the EMR.
• Manage venous access and prevent infection.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and aftercare.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education.
• Maintain supplies and train new team members.
