Job summary

Akicita Federal is seeking licensed nurses for a contract assignment at NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. The Apheresis unit supports cell-therapy research and transfusion protocols.

Responsibilities include delivering protocol-informed care, documenting in EHR, performing apheresis, managing vascular access, collaborating with investigators, and educating patients and families. Assignment typically 13 weeks with potential extension and on-call including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, diploma, or associate degree in nursing and NCLEX passed.
• Current BLS; ACLS/PALS if required by client.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in the last 3 years.
• Active nursing license in at least one state.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, protocol-informed care and document data in EHR.
• Record assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR.
• Perform apheresis procedures and monitor patients during collection.
• Manage vascular access and respond to citrate/volume reactions.
• Collaborate with NIH investigators and care team.
• Support informed consent and educate participants and families.
