Lockheed Martin is seeking a Production Lead to manage work assignments for aircraft maintenance personnel, primarily on F-16 systems. The role includes reviewing work documents for accuracy, providing technical guidance from drawings, and coordinating with engineering and planning to resolve issues.
The Production Lead will monitor progress, align tasks with safety, quality, schedule, and cost imperatives, and support continuous process improvements in a fast-paced production environment.
Makes work assignments for assigned personnel to accomplish scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and components, primarily F-16. Responsible for aircraft work document reviews for accuracy and completeness, prior to final submission to quality. Provides technical assistance and direction to assigned personnel using technical data and drawings. Coordinate cross functional logistics requirements to acquire material and parts to complete assigned work. Executes hands-on maintenance or modification work as required to meet quality, cost, and schedule commitments. Works directly with Liaison Engineering and Planning to document and resolve technical issues.

The Production Lead will be responsible for providing status of work documents and work accomplished in their work area.
The Production Lead will be required to interface with multiple functional organizations, in addition to the managers/supervisor and crew to resolve issues or constraints in the aircraft assembly/production environment.
In this capacity the lead will status, communicate and support production goals and objectives of the day/week, assess skill and complexity of tasks, issue work assignments, establish nominal expectation of tasks by obtaining personal contract for each task period of performance with each of the employees; set, check and adjust to meet realization and build performance objectives. Instill product disciplines to align with Production imperatives of Safety, Quality Schedule & Cost which include but not limited too; fall protection, critical moves and crane lifts, use & disposal of hazardous materials, adherence and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), material handling and storage of staged and work-in-process (WIP) parts, chemical control and labeling, clean as you go, housekeeping and Tool & FOD control. The candidate will be required to support corrective action investigations, root cause analysis, advise on and implement innovations and process improvements, as well as maintain 6S/lean processes for their area of responsibility.
The Production Lead will be considered a working lead that will maintain certifications and qualifications to perform production tasks as required as well as other associated duties which may include Collateral Duty Quality Inspector and On-the-Job Trainer for all work performed by their assigned crew. This position requires working knowledge and skills in hydraulic system installations including pressure application and test. Lead must be skilled in avionics operation and electrical harness fabrication and routing.
Minimum of 6 years experience relative to aircraft Manufacturing, Maintenance, Modification, Repair, & Overhaul, Military Aviation, Commercial Aviation
Experience leading teams performing operational checks and troubleshooting testing.
Experience training peers/leading personnel and teams that perfomed install/removal and maintenance.
Pay rate for this position is $32.64 - $58.89 per hour.
