Job summary

Lockheed Martin Greenville Production Flightline is seeking a Production Flightline Avionics, F-16 Technician Level 2 to support flight ops, harness installs, testing, and final avionics delivery for F-16 aircraft.

The role offers a 4x10 schedule Mon-Thu on 2nd shift (3pm-1:30am) with 3-day weekends, requires 3–8 years of aircraft experience, and the ability to read complex diagrams and perform wire routing and terminations. DoD secret clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years aircraft experience, testing electronics, wiring harness routing, and flightline troubleshooting (≥2 years).
• Aircraft Environmental and Electrical system experience.
• Ability to understand and use complex circuit diagrams, prints and specifications.
• F-16 or other fighter avionics experience; wiring installation and check out.
• Experience with installation drawings, cable assemblies, and continuity tests.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• As the Production Flightline Avionics, F-16 Technician Level 2 you will be responsible for Flight Operations, Launch and Recovery, Testing/installing electrical harnesses/components, routing various wire/cables, Terminating cables/wires, and performing operational checks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems, perform general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections as assigned.
• Work includes safety-conscious, organized, and FOD-free practices; PPE usage as required.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Production Flightline Avionics, F-16 Technician Lvl 2 you will be responsible for Flight Operations, Launch and Recovery, Testing/installing electrical harnesses/components, routing various wire/cables, Terminating cables/wires, and performing operational checks. You may also be required to troubleshoot and repairing electrical and avionics systems based on area assigned. Will sometimes perform other duties such as general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections.

The Candidate Will Be Required To

• Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
• Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
• Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures

Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration.

Basic Qualifications

3-8 years demonstrated Aircraft experience completing operational test of electronics, Wire/Harness routing, and using test equipment including major troubleshooting with at least 2 years of flightline experience.

Aircraft Environmental and Electrical system experience.

Ability to understand and use complex circuit diagrams, prints and specifications.

Desired Skills

• F-16, Commercial, or other fighter avionics, wire routing, and installation experience
• Experience using electrical, radio, and radar testing equipment and instruments.
• Military/Commercial aircraft modification installation experience including wire harness installation and check out procedures.
• Ability to interpret installation drawings, install and route electrical cable assemblies, perform multiple termination processes and perform continuity checks in accordance with standard processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD secret clearance

Pay Information

Pay rate for this position is $22.64 - $40.87 per hour.
