Job summary

Expatiate Communications, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on designing adaptive PE programs for students with disabilities within a school setting.

You will deliver inclusive instruction, assess progress, and collaborate with educators and therapists to support students’ health and participation. A Bachelor's is required; a Master’s is preferred, with Cl-623 authorization and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or Special Education.
• Valid teaching certification/licence in Physical Education or Special Education.
• Adapted Physical Education (Cl-623) Added Authorization.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Inclusion: Promote inclusivity and create a welcoming environment where all students participate.
• Adaptations: Modify equipment, rules, and activities for accessibility and safety.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Per Diem Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing physical education programs tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities. The Adaptive Physical Education Teacher will collaborate with other educators and professionals to ensure that all students have access to meaningful physical education experiences that promote health, fitness, and overall well-being.

Work Setting: School-Based - This position typically operates within a school environment, including classrooms, gymnasiums, and outdoor spaces. The Adaptive Physical Education Teacher may also travel to different locations within the school or community to facilitate physical education programs and activities.

Location: Los Angeles, CA; On-site

Employment Type: Per Diem (Variable)

Pay Range: $60.00 - $100.00 per hour DOE

• Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices, research, and trends in adaptive physical education and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification/license in Physical Education or Special Education Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational or recreational setting
• Adapted Physical Education (Cl-623) Added Authorization
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Knowledge of adaptive physical education principles, techniques, and strategies
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction and tailor lessons to meet individual student needs
