Job summary

State of Indiana is seeking a Project Manager for the APCD program under the Indiana Department of Insurance. You will oversee multi-stakeholder IT projects, develop plans, timelines, budgets and risk mitigation strategies to deliver on scope and quality.

The role requires 5+ years IT or project management experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. This is an on-site position with comprehensive State benefits and opportunities for impact on Hoosier health policy.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and estimation of resources.
• Considerable knowledge of project management theories and practices.
• Considerable knowledge of the information systems development life cycle, IT, project tools and approaches to development.
• Considerable problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead project teams and collaborate across departments.
• Excellent communication; comfortable presenting to stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft: Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Project, Visio.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects with moderate complexity and scope involving multiple stakeholders or resources.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, work breakdown structures and budgets.
• Define roles and responsibilities; coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Manage risks, issues and changes with proper escalation.
• Coordinate and monitor stakeholder activities to meet time constraints.
• Communicate project status to management and stakeholders.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and capture lessons learned.
