Job summary

forty2 is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to support residential apartment communities. You will handle a wide range of repairs and preventative maintenance to keep properties safe and comfortable for residents.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances), performing unit turns and safety checks, assisting with after-hours emergencies, inspecting equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Proactive, energetic, and organized.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and carpentry repairs


• Perform routine preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems


• Prepare apartments for new residents by completing unit turns, including painting, drywall repair, fixture installation, and general maintenance


• Assist with emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours on-call rotation as needed


• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and recommend solutions


• Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition


• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used


• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures


• Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and management
