Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Make Ready Technician to efficiently prepare vacant apartment units for re‑lease on-site. You will perform turn‑of‑unit tasks, repairs, and painting while meeting quality standards and safety guidelines.

The role requires 1 year of maintenance experience (preferred), general skilled trades knowledge, and a detail‑oriented approach to ensure timely readiness for move‑ins. HVAC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field preferred.
• General knowledge in skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready.
• HVAC experience a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow make-ready checklist to complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move‑in.
• Inspects sheetrock and makes repairs; caulks and seals windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers; performs touch‑up paint.
• Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for make‑ready tasks.
• Cuts expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts and avoiding waste of supplies.
• Assists with property curb appeal by cleaning, painting, and general upkeep as needed.
• Complies with safety policies by attending safety meetings and OSHA training and reporting incidents promptly.
• Delivers high level of customer service to residents and others; completes work with efficiency and urgency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
