Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, perform repairs, and maintain common areas. The role requires capacity to work in various weather conditions and to meet safety standards.

Responsibilities include completing make-ready tasks, caulking, painting, and ensuring units are market-ready while supporting cost-saving initiatives and resident satisfaction. A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or related role preferred.
• Ability to perform repairs, painting, plumbing and carpentry as needed.
• Commitment to safety policies and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Completes repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in.
• Ensures units are caulked and sealed around windows, sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and makes repairs or replacements as needed.
• Performs touch-up painting for vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting curbs and signage.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Completes make-ready checklists and maintenance documentation on schedule.
• Complies with safety policies and attends required safety trainings.
• Provides good customer service to residents and responds to maintenance requests with urgency.
