Job summary

AOG Living in Colorado Springs seeks a Maintenance Technician to prepare vacant apartment homes for move-ins and maintain standards for timely turnover. You will assist with pool maintenance and grounds keeping as needed, while following safety and housing regulations.

You must diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or other issues, use hand and power tools, and coordinate with managers and vendors. Own tools required.

Qualifications

• Must be skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• May be required to handle plumbing repairs, tile work, appliance repair, carpentry repairs, electrical repairs and all facets of apartment make ready.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical or other malfunctions and make repairs or correct problems.
• Must be able to read and write in English to read diagrams, meters, instructions, etc.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA Requirements, EEOC.
• Must supply own tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for move-in.
• Review the make-ready board and take direction from the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager to determine action to be taken on apartment homes.
• Make all repairs/replacements necessary for unit to be occupied as outlined on the make-ready checklist.
• Apply touch-up and full-paints as needed to interior and exterior of apartment homes.
• Clean out all trash from apartment homes before, during and after make-ready activity.
• Inspect completed apartment homes and schedules any necessary follow-up work before designating the unit as Ready.
