Job summary

Consolidated Asset Management is looking for an Apartment Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair the community, respond to service requests, and prepare apartments for new residents. You will help keep plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliances in good working order across the property.

This full-time position offers competitive pay at $24.00 per hour, plus medical, dental, vision, a 401K plan and bonuses.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • EPA certification and/or HVAC certification are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks daily.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnoses and repair issues in apartment units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in apartment make-readies including cleaning, repairs, and painting.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the property, including grounds, amenities, and maintenance areas.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and tools and notify supervisor of supply needs.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
  • Assist with snow removal, pool maintenance, and seasonal tasks as needed.

Apartment Maintenance Technician

The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair duties that contribute to the overall upkeep and condition of the apartment community. This includes completing service requests, preparing apartments for new residents, and ensuring community systems (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.) are in proper working order.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnoses and repair issues in apartment units and common areas, including:
    • Plumbing (leaks, clogs, faucet/toilet repairs)
    • Electrical (switches, outlets, light fixtures)
    • HVAC systems (filters, minor repairs, seasonal maintenance)
    • Appliances (dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves)
    • Carpentry (door locks, drywall patching, painting)
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in apartment “make-readies” including cleaning, repairs, and painting.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the property, including grounds, amenities, and maintenance areas.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Must be available for emergency on-call rotation, weekends, and holidays as needed.
