Job summary

BEStstaff, Inc. in Albuquerque seeks a Maintenance Technician for a full-time contract-to-hire role. You will perform repairs and upgrades to apartment communities, handling electrical, plumbing, painting, and basic HVAC tasks while maintaining common areas and on-call readiness.

The position offers $20 per hour, a Monday–Friday shift (7:00–4:00), and a permanent arrangement after 90 days for eligible hires, with potential apartment housing on the premises.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college/trade school preferred.
• Relevant certification (e.g., HVAC, CPO) strongly preferred.
• One to two years industry or three years general contract maintenance experience.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and upgrades to interior and exterior of apartment communities.
• Handle electrical, plumbing, painting, and basic HVAC tasks.
• May be on-call for emergency repairs and irregular hours.
