Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment/ multifamily maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.
• HVAC/EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the condition of the community, apartment homes, common areas, amenities, and grounds.
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance and repairs in a timely, professional manner.
• Complete resident service requests with excellent customer service.
• Assist with apartment make-readies, including inspecting vacant homes and completing repairs.
• Perform general repairs: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other areas as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Inspect the exterior and address maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with maintaining an organized maintenance shop, tools, equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Communicate with the Community Manager regarding service requests and property conditions.
• Work with outside contractors and vendors as needed to ensure quality work.
• Perform emergency maintenance and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Follow all safety standards and applicable health codes.
• Assist with property inspections and maintenance-related documentation.
• Promote positive resident relations with a friendly, courteous attitude.
• Complete additional maintenance projects as assigned.
