Job summary

Apartment Services, Inc. in Severn, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at our residential properties.

You will perform general maintenance across building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, while delivering reliable, high-quality service to residents. This full-time role requires an on-call rotation, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the flexibility to work at multiple properties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment or property maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, kneeling).
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests/work orders within 24 hours.
• Perform general repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry.
• Prepare apartments for new residents, including move-in readiness and repairs.
• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property.
• Inspect and troubleshoot building systems, including safety and alarm equipment.
• Document maintenance activity and report issues to the Service Supervisor.
• Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and Fair Housing regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members.
• Assist with snow removal, salting, and emergency weather response.
• Perform other duties as assigned
