Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs to ensure apartments and property facilities are in top condition. You will diagnose and repair HVAC systems, electrical fixtures, plumbing, and carpentry while adhering to preventative maintenance plans.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of multifamily maintenance experience and EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days). A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property maintenance or mechanical repair.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days.
• HVAC experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs to apartments and property facilities to keep them in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing and carpentry.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and complete follow-up with residents after repairs.

Apartment Maintenance Technician

The Apartment Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order. Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move-in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks.

The Apartment Maintenance Technician follows a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follows up with residents after repairs are complete.

Qualifications One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair HVAC experience required EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date Valid driver’s license from the state of residence

The Maintenance Supervisor leads and coordinates the maintenance team through repairs and maintenance of property facilities and apartments.
