Job summary

MAA is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician to uphold high standards in a multifamily setting. You will diagnose and repair HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and hardware, while preparing units for move-in and following a preventative maintenance plan.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in property maintenance, holds EPA Type II or Universal certification (or will obtain within 90 days), and possesses a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property management or maintenance.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to obtain certifications within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartments and facilities in good order.
• Prepare apartments for move-in and diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, outlets, and locks.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs.
