Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Service Technician 1 to prepare vacant apartments for occupancy and service residents and the community. You will perform painting, drywall repairs, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance in both vacant and occupied units, ensuring quality work and timely responses.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to work independently, lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and operate in all weather.

Qualifications

• 1+ years maintenance experience required.
• Painting and drywall repairs experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and SOPs.
• EPA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy including painting, drywall repairs, trash-out, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, boilers, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, appliances, etc.
• Perform carpentry, drywall repairs, and interior/exterior painting as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and periodic inspections as assigned.
• Clean pools, monitor chemical balance, and maintain logs as required by regulations.
• Conduct daily grounds maintenance and general site upkeep.
• Participate in property improvements and scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records using company apps and tools.
