GSF Properties Inc. in Fresno, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our apartment community.

You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and prepare units for new residents, ensuring grounds and common areas stay clean and welcoming. This role requires basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance knowledge, plus strong customer service and the ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• Basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair knowledge.
• Experience completing work orders and preparing vacant units.
• Ability to patch walls, paint, and replace hardware.
• Basic computer skills and navigation of web-based applications.
• Strong customer service with a resident-focused approach.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Participation in on-call rotations.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on appliances, carpentry, hardware, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs per procedures and standards.
• Prepare vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Maintain community grounds and curb appeal.
• Be available for on-call activity during off hours and emergencies.
• Maintain good relations with residents and vendors.
• Assist with annual apartment inspections and identify action items.
• Report lease and house rule violations.
• Timely completion of maintenance requests and work orders.
• Schedule vendors and order supplies with the manager.
• Maintain excellent curb appeal.
