Job summary

North Shore Gardens is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for an apartment community. The role involves making ready units, grounds upkeep, and coordinating with supervision to complete work orders.

You’ll perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, diagnose issues, and conduct preventative maintenance. Flexibility and safety are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance across electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Able to perform minor repairs and use standard hand/power tools.
• Strong attention to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Perform grounds work including landscaping and cleanup.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to complete work orders.
• Handle minor electrical tasks (switches, outlets, bulbs).
• Carry out minor plumbing repairs and routine maintenance.
• Perform painting, carpentry and masonry tasks as needed.
• Maintain HVAC systems and perform routine servicing.
• Diagnose issues, replace parts and test repairs.
• Schedule and execute preventative maintenance.
• Read manuals for required maintenance tasks.
• Respond to emergencies after hours and adapt to flexible hours.
• Ensure safe, clean, and organized work areas.
