Job summary

Propper Asset Management is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join Trinity Woods Apartments in Independence, MO. You will troubleshoot and repair HVAC and building systems, complete resident requests, and prep vacants to uphold high standards.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting, and a commitment to safety and quality. On-site schedule with on-call rotation; competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of apartment maintenance or related hands-on maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, and building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Experience with Yardi or similar software is a plus.
• EPA/CPO/CMRP certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and other building components.
• Complete resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents to meet high standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep systems and equipment operating efficiently.
• Handle general repairs including painting, drywall, carpentry, locks, doors, windows, and fixtures.
• Help maintain community amenities and outdoor spaces.
• Conduct routine inspections and assist with safety/compliance activities.
• Document work orders and maintenance activities using Yardi or similar software.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
• Collaborate with property management and team members to enhance resident experience.
