AWI Management Corp. in Placerville, CA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain a 78-unit apartment community in Placerville and an 80-unit community nearby.

This full-time, non-exempt position requires reliability, problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and residents' quality of life. You will perform general maintenance tasks, respond to work orders, assist with preventative maintenance, and help keep grounds tidy.

Qualifications

• Experience with subsidized housing programs (HUD, LIHTC, or RD) is helpful.
• General building maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• General groundskeeping and landscaping experience.

Responsibilities

• Completing maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Performing general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure building systems remain in good working condition.
• Maintaining the grounds and landscaping to support strong curb appeal.
• Assisting with annual apartment inspections and identifying maintenance needs.
• Working with the Property Manager to coordinate vendors and order supplies.
• Maintaining positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Reporting lease or house rule violations when observed.
• Responding appropriately to emergency maintenance situations.
• Following company policies and procedures.
