Job summary

Village Square in Broomfield, CO is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role requires hands-on apartment maintenance, on-call availability for emergencies, and strong customer service for residents.

The successful candidate will prioritize work orders, perform repairs, and help manage safety and budget guidelines while engaging with residents, vendors, and staff to maintain a high-quality living environment.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with drive and determination to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and good driving record required.
• Ability to follow directives and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work orders and adjust priorities as needed.
• Perform standard apartment maintenance, including painting, carpet cleaning, and appliance repair.
• Troubleshoot, perform, and/or assist with maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, roofing, carpentry, and swimming pool maintenance.
• Demonstrate strong self-reliance and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance.
• Control expenses in accordance with budget guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Participate in resident promotions and/or functions as required by the Property Manager.
• Follow all safety and liability guidelines as outlined by management.
• Assist with other duties as requested by management.

Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities for emergency maintenance during evenings and weekends.

Village Square is a well-maintained 108-unit affordable housing community looking for a dependable, customer-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing a quality living experience for our residents and are seeking an individual with demonstrated abilities in maintenance, repairs, organization, flexibility, and customer service.

The Successful Maintenance Technician Will

• Prioritize work orders and adjust priorities as needed.
• Perform standard apartment maintenance, including painting, carpet cleaning, and appliance repair.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform apartment maintenance and repairs, including tasks that may require standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to use hand tools and equipment necessary to perform maintenance duties.
• Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations during assigned on-call periods.
