Job summary

High Associates is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for Ascend at Greenfield in Lancaster, PA. You will perform a range of residential maintenance tasks, including minor building and grounds upkeep, to ensure high-quality living environments for residents.

The role is full-time, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule and a shared on-call rotation. You will handle various maintenance requests, plumbing, electrical work, and routine appliance repairs, while keeping areas safe

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–12 months of related experience in building maintenance and grounds.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
  • Basic knowledge of appliance repair and HVAC.
  • Flexibility to participate in scheduled on-call rotation (one week every 4–5 weeks), including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor building maintenance duties at properties owned/leased by High Associates.
  • Handle plumbing, electrical repairs and routine appliance repairs.
  • Requisition supplies and maintain inventory of parts.
  • Inspect buildings/apartments and assist in preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain plants and flowerbeds and keep areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety rules and promote company values.

We are currently seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician , with general residential technician skills to join the High Associates team for Ascend at Greenfield inLancaster, PA. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for a wide range of building maintenance responsibilities. The grounds responsibilities would include, but not limited to, watering the flower beds. The building maintenance responsibilities would include but not limited to, completion of minor building maintenance duties as required by service requests submitted by residents, preparation of unit turnovers in addition to routine maintenance of a non-technical issue. Responsible for preventative maintenance of the homes and common area enhancements.

This is a Full-Timeopportunity with the following schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM. *Shared on call rotation required

Responsibilities of our Maintenance Techs:

  • Responsible for completion of minor building maintenance duties to various properties owned and leased by High Associates, Ltd. This would include service requests which are required for preparation of unit turnover in addition to routine maintenance calls.
  • Repair and maintenance requests would involve items related to general carpentry, drywall repair, minor electrical work and routine plumbing and appliance repair.
  • Would require general working knowledge of all parts and inventory use in the day-to-day operation of properties leased in order to requisition supplies.
  • Maintain inventory records of parts and material as well as logs of routine maintenance.
  • Inspect buildings and apartments, informs supervisor of maintenance needs and assists in planning and completion of preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Maintaining plants and flowerbeds.
  • Maintain equipment, storage and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all safety, truck operations or other rules and regulations.
  • Promote the interests and favorable image of the High Companies. Support and sustain the values of the High Philosophy.
  • Perform special assignments as directed.

Our next team-member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required.
  • 3-12 months of directly related experience in general building maintenance and grounds experience.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical work
  • Basic knowledge of appliance repair and HVAC.
  • Flexibility required to work a scheduled on-call rotation (one week every 4-5 weeks), which could include evenings, weekends and holidays.
