SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Joining our Service and Asset Preservation Team as a Service Technician means becoming part of a dedicated group of tradespeople committed to maintaining the physical appearance, performing preventative maintenance, ensuring move-in readiness, and addressing ongoing service needs across our communities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver timely, clear, and courteous customer service at all times.
• Proactively maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance systems to care for the physical building and community.
• Respond promptly to service tickets, document and communicate status, and prioritize requests effectively.
• Build trust with residents through respectful and empathetic interactions during repairs.
• Monitor the make-ready schedule, oversee apartment turnovers, and initiate the process per company standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and regular tune-ups to safeguard equipment.
• Conduct daily community walks to inspect cleanliness and safety, helping maintain curb appeal.
• Collaborate with leasing and customer service teams by escalating urgent maintenance issues and communicating community concerns.
• Support team success by achieving individual and team goals.

OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER:

• Proven experience in responsible, high-quality maintenance, preferably in residential or similar industries.
• Well-versed in HVAC and mechanical systems.
• EPA/CFC or CAMT Certification.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Available for on-call duties, outside standard hours, and able to respond within 30 minutes for safety issues.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and life safety systems.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word) and industry management software like Yardi.

The hourly rate for this role ranges from $22.39 to $34.83, depending on experience.

Additional Compensation: Eligible for monthly and annual bonus programs, including leasing commissions, renewal bonuses, and spot awards.
