Job summary

United Church Homes at Capitol Station in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Maintenance staff member to keep the property clean, safe, and in good working order. You will handle work orders, troubleshoot appliances, and coordinate with the Housing Manager to prepare units for new residents.

Accounts include lawn care, snow removal, basic repairs, and occasional vendor coordination. Requires 1+ year experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; maintenance certifications helpful.
• 1+ year of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in apartment units and common areas.
• Complete work orders and coordinate with Housing Manager for priorities.
• Troubleshoot appliances, plumbing, electrical and HVAC issues as needed.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents and assist with annual inspections.
• On-call 24/7 for emergency situations and coordinate with vendors.
