Avesta Housing is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our properties in Gorham, ME safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.

You will perform routine, emergency, and preventative repairs, handle basic plumbing/electrical, and tend to building needs. You’ll respond to resident requests, document work via a company app, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

This full-time, hourly role offers $22.00–$24.00/hour with overtime potential and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle for daily transportation and valid driver's license
• Availability to work a shared rotating on-call schedule
• Mechanical aptitude for routine property maintenance
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, emergency, and preventive repairs to buildings and grounds
• Handle basic plumbing, basic electrical, painting, and light carpentry
• Maintain digital records of completed work orders via company app
• Respond to resident needs and maintain a safe, welcoming living environment
• Coordinate with property management to meet Avesta's standards
