Position Overview

The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine maintenance, repairs, and groundskeeping on-site. Responsibilities include using power tools, completing unit turns, troubleshooting appliances, and providing excellent customer service to residents and staff. Technicians will enter residents’ homes to handle work orders, repairs, and communication to ensure a positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities, buildings, and grounds via work orders
• Prepare vacated apartments for new residents efficiently
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs
• Handle plumbing repairs such as drain clearing, toilet issues, and water heater replacement
• Service appliances like kitchen appliances, washers, dryers, and garage issues
• Participate in emergency maintenance on a rotating on-call schedule
• Adhere to safety standards at all times
• Perform snow removal
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills

• HVAC Certification
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Experience in apartment maintenance
• Proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and computers

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk as needed
