RISE Vols in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our student housing community running smoothly. You’ll tackle resident requests, perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs, and prepare apartments for new residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC and appliances.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills.
• On-call availability during peak turnover.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests with professionalism, care, and attention to detail.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliance, HVAC, and general carpentry issues within your training and qualifications.
• Prepare apartments for new residents by completing repairs, checking equipment, and identifying anything that needs additional attention.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep building systems and equipment working properly.
• Help maintain common areas, amenities, and grounds so the community stays clean, safe, and welcoming.
• Report safety concerns, property damage, and maintenance issues that need further attention.
• Keep accurate records of completed work and communicate when repairs require parts or follow-up.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in an organized and safe condition.
• Support the team during student move-in, move-out, and busy turnover periods.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies.
