Job summary

JBG SMITH is seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician to keep our Washington, DC-area communities in top condition. You will respond to resident work orders, diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep common areas safe and welcoming.

You should have a high-school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of maintenance experience in apartments or similar settings, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to

High-school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of maintenance experience in apartments, hotels, or similar environment with the highest standards of service, integrity, creativity, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Assist in making all units ready for move-in.
Respond to resident work orders to diagnose and correct HVAC, appliance, plumbing, electrical and carpentry issues.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems.
Inspect the community daily to identify items needing maintenance or repair.
Clear snow and ice during inclement weather.
Share on-call duties and respond to emergencies in 30 minutes or less.
