Job summary

AWI Management Corp. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to care for a 24-unit apartment community in Cochise, AZ. This full-time role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and residents’ comfort, with tasks ranging from repairs to preventative maintenance.

Ideal candidates bring experience in general building maintenance and landscaping, plus the ability to coordinate with vendors and the Property Manager. HUD/LIHTC knowledge is a plus. Authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and interpersonal skills with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Outlook, Teams and work order systems is helpful.
• Experience with subsidized housing programs is a plus.
• General maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting.

Responsibilities

• Handle maintenance requests and work orders promptly.
• Perform general maintenance: painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
• Assist with preventative maintenance to keep systems in good condition.
• Maintain grounds and landscaping for strong curb appeal.
• Assist annual apartment inspections and coordinate with vendors.
• Work with Property Manager to order supplies and manage relationships.
• Report lease or house rule violations and respond to emergencies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
